Benefits

• Fire Prevention: DC arcs are much harder to extinguish than AC; this breaker is purpose-built to snap DC arcs safely.
• Equipment Longevity: Protects expensive LiFePO4 batteries and hybrid inverters from damaging overcurrent spikes.
• Easy Maintenance: Acts as a convenient DC Isolator, allowing you to safely shut off the solar array for maintenance or cleaning.
• Flexible Application: One model covers 12V/24V/48V battery systems as well as high-voltage 600V+ PV strings.

How It Works

1. Selection: Choose the amperage rating (10A/20A/32A) that is roughly 1.25x to 1.5x your solar panel's short-circuit current ($I_{sc}$).
2. Mounting: Clip the breaker onto a 35mm DIN rail inside a distribution box.
3. Wiring: Connect the Positive (+) and Negative (-) wires from the solar panels to the top terminals, and the output to the charge controller/inverter to the bottom terminals.
4. Testing: Flip the switch to "ON." If a short circuit occurs, the breaker will automatically trip to the "OFF" position.
5. Isolation: Use the lever to manually cut off power whenever you need to work on the system safely.

Perfect For

• Solar Home Systems: Protecting the connection between the solar array and the inverter.
• RV & Marine Power: High-capacity DC protection for battery banks and solar chargers on boats or campers.
• Electric Vehicle (EV) DC Circuits: Managing lower-power DC charging or auxiliary circuits.
• Wind Turbine Systems: Safely isolating DC output from wind generators.
